First two fountains installed!

Five years after starting my mission to get more drinking fountains installed in our parks and playgrounds, the first two were turned on 😄

I started the Public Water Project in 2019, when I discovered New Zealand doesn’t have nearly enough drinking fountains or bottle refill stations. I launched Water Us on PledgeMe, in 2021, with 50% of the profits being donated to the Public Water Foundation.

Water Us sold through two containers in 2021 and 2022, and we started working with Council to find fountain locations, and, after 3 years, we finally installed the first two Mountain Fresh drinking fountains.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me on this journey and bought my toilet paper 🥰!

This is just the beginning. There's a lot of drinking fountains we need to install to have a real impact. So if you use toilet paper, please wipe for water and you can become part of buying the next drinking fountain!
